After reviewing my goals for my future and the progress of my previously established skills, the final skill I would like to include are my entrepreneurial skills. To be an effective entrepreneur one must be a leader who creatively thinks outside of the box and influences others to imagine the success of something intangible. Entrepreneurship combines all of my skills nicely and although it has not previously been something I had considered, my summer abroad has taught me a lot about myself and has altered my vision for my future. I firmly believe I possess every necessary skill and quality to start my own business and succeed.
Examples of my Entrepreneurial Skills
For my first example I would like to go back one more time to another aspect of my homeless drop in center proposal. In this example I was able to visualize something, put it into words, and influence others of the importance of making those changes. Through my entrepreneurial spirit I brought this movement to help the homeless people to life.
My second example is of a presentation I made to my internship at Augustine's staff about redesigning the way employees receive their work schedule. Instead of dealing with packets of disorganized paper, an ineffective process of requesting days off, and an overall huge breach in the internal communication of the workplace, HotSchedules would provide a much simpler, easy to use, and organized scheduling process. Although it is a huge change and a big risk, it is something I did my best to prove was extremely important for the innovation of the company.
